Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 23, 2026
🔒 Short version: Revvy collects no personal data. Everything stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We have zero access to your information.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Revvy - Car Maintenance (the app) handles your information. Revvy is a simple vehicle maintenance tracker for iOS, built and maintained by an independent developer.
2. Information We Collect
Revvy does not collect any personal information. There are no servers, no backend, and no accounts. The app does not:
- Require an account or any personal details to use
- Collect your name, email, or contact information
- Track your location
- Use any advertising or analytics SDKs
- Share data with third parties
- Show ads
- Track your behaviour in any way
3. Data You Enter Into the App
Everything you add to Revvy (vehicles, service entries, fuel logs, mileage, reminders) stays on your device. It is stored in two places:
- Locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework
- In your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit, if you are signed in to iCloud on your device
We have no access to any of it. We can't read it, modify it, or delete it. It's yours.
4. iCloud Sync
If you have iCloud enabled, Revvy syncs your data across your devices using Apple's CloudKit. This happens directly between your devices and Apple's servers under your Apple ID. We don't touch it.
Apple's handling of iCloud data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
You can turn off iCloud sync for Revvy anytime in Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud.
5. App Store and TestFlight
When you download Revvy through the App Store or TestFlight, Apple may collect diagnostic and usage data on their end. That's between you and Apple. We don't receive any personal information from Apple.
6. Crash Reports
If you have "Share with App Developers" turned on in iOS Settings, Apple may forward anonymised crash reports to us. These only contain technical details (device model, iOS version, stack trace) and nothing you've entered in the app.
You can turn this off anytime in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
7. Deleting Your Data
You're in full control. You can:
- Delete individual entries inside the app at any time
- Delete everything by uninstalling Revvy
- Remove iCloud data via Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage > Revvy
8. Children's Privacy
Revvy doesn't collect personal data from anyone, so it's safe for all ages. If you're a parent with questions, feel free to reach out.
9. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
If you're in the EU or California, you have rights around data access, deletion, and portability. Since Revvy doesn't collect personal data, these are largely covered by default:
- Access - your data is on your own device
- Deletion - delete it inside the app or by uninstalling
- Portability - export your full history to CSV anytime from within the app
For any questions, email jafforgedev@gmail.com.
10. Security
Your data is protected by iOS device encryption. When synced, Apple's CloudKit handles security on their end. Since we have no servers and receive no data, there's nothing to breach on our side.
11. Third-Party Services
Revvy has no third-party SDKs, ad networks, or analytics tools. The only external service is Apple's CloudKit for iCloud sync.
12. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect that. Nothing sneaky.
